The Europol 2017 report indicates Slovakia as one of the largest producers of methamphetamine in Europe. Furthermore, in June 2016 Italian police arrested two members of the Sicilian clan “Cuesi”, accused of having bought 160 disused firearms in Slovakia, some of which had then been re-actived and sent to Malta.
