Croatia

  • Money-laundering, corruption

Croatia is part of the Balkan route through which various types of trafficking pass from South-East Europe to the North-West. A European Commission report of 2014 stressed how corruption works as a “facilitator” in the trafficking and laundering of dirty money. In the first five months of 2015, the Internal Ministry counted 805 crimes committed by OCGs.
