Trentotto ministri per un governo che almeno sulla carta è il più debole della storia recente della Francia. L’Eliseo ha annunciato la squadra dell’esecutivo che sarà guidato da MichelBarnier, ex commissario europeo, politico di centrodestra, con una lunghissima esperienza, scelto dal presidente della Repubblica Emmanuel Macron come via d’uscita dopo le elezioni di giugno quando nessuno dei tre schieramenti (di sinistra, di destra e di centro) ha raggiunto la maggioranza assoluta.
Ad elencare i nomi dei ministri è stato il segretario generale dell’Eliseo, AlexisKohler. All’Economia, Finanze e Industria andrà Antoine Armand, 33 anni, eletto con Renaissance, il partito di Macron. Il nuovo ministro degli Esteri sarà Jean-Noel Barrot, 41 anni, membro di MoDem (Movimento Democratico), l’ultimo partito a dare il via libera al governo. Al ministero dell’Interno andrà BrunoRetailleau, tra i leader dei Repubblicani, cioè ciò che resta del partito neogollista. Alla Difesa viene confermato SebastienLecornu, anche lui di Renaissance, già ministro nei due governi di espressione quasi esclusivamente macroniana dei premier ÉlisabethBorne e GabrielAttal. Un nome che fa il suo grande ritorno dopo le glorie nelle stagioni di Nicolas Sarkozy è quello di RachidaDati che riprende il posto di comando alla Cultura, già suo da gennaio: era stata espulsa dai Repubblicani proprio per questo. In precedenza, sotto Sarkò, era stata ministra della Giustizia. La ministra della Salute sarà Geneviève Darrieussecq, anche lei centrista di MoDem, quello della Giustizia è invece DidierMigaud, un altro politico di lunghissimo corso, ex socialista, finora presidente dell’Alta Autorità per la Trasparenza nella Vita Pubblica, in passato finito anche in un totopremier sempre sotto la presidenza di Macron perché poteva “attrarre ex socialisti” (Giustizia). La portavoce del governo sarà Maud Bregeon, giovane portavoce di Renaissance oltre che deputata per il partito macroniano, che si era contraddistinta per alcune affermazioni sui legami tra immigrazione e sicurezza. Macron ha convocato il nuovo governo per il primo consiglio dei ministri lunedì pomeriggio. “Una squadra, subito al lavoro” si limita a twittare Barnier.

Tutto questo succede nella giornata in cui migliaia di francesi sono scesi in piazza in diverse città del Paese per denunciare un esecutivo ritenuto troppo a destra, in contraddizione con l’esito del voto anticipato – chiamato dal presidente Macron – quando il cartello di sinistra Nouveau Front Populaire si piazzò primo (ma senza maggioranza assoluta), davanti ai macroniani e al Rassemblement National di Marine Le Pen. I Républicains, il partito neogollista da cui proviene lo stesso Barnier, arrivarono soltanto quarti. Gli elettori di sinistra hanno manifestato a Parigi e in almeno una cinquantina di altre città, tra cui Marsiglia, per protestare contro il governo “Macron-Barnier” ritenuto “illegittimo”. “Sono qui perché quanto sta accadendo non corrisponde a ciò per cui ho votato. Il primo ministro rappresenta un partito (Les Républicains) che non ha ottenuto quasi nulla alle elezioni. Sono preoccupata e arrabbiata. A cosa serve votare?” protesta Violette Bourguignon, studentessa in cinema di 21 anni, intervistata dall’agenzia France Presse in piazza della Bastiglia. Pure il verde François Vermorel è in piazza per denunciare quello che ritiene un “colpo di Stato democratico deciso da Macron, che merita una risposta di piazza”. E teme, in particolare, l’arrivo al ministero dell’Interno del falco Retailleau, noto per la sua linea dura sull’immigrazione, che accusa di “razzismo” e di omofobia”. “Non è per questo che la gente ha votato a giugno”, deplora Vermorel. Le odierne manifestazioni, dopo quelle del 7 settembre, hanno ottenuto l’adesione di una parte dei partiti della gauche (France Insoumise ed ecologisti), oltre ong e associazioni come Greenpeace, Unionétudiante, e Collectifdroits des femmes. L’odierna partecipazione è stata tuttavia meno massiccia del previsto, soprattutto in provincia. A Marsiglia, hanno manifestato in 2.200 contro i 3.500 del 7 settembre, 400 a Bordeaux, 200 ad Angoouleme e Nantes e un centinaio a Strasburgo.
E a destra? Se al momento della nomina di Barnier si era percepito che il Rassemblement di Le Pen potesse pensare a un’astensione per permettere la partenza di un governo di minoranza, ora le parole del segretario Jordan Bardella si fanno più dure: “Questo ‘nuovo’ governo indica il ritorno del macronismo attraverso una porta di servizio. Ciò che i francesi hanno democraticamente sancito, per due volte, non può essere riportato indietro attraverso deplorevoli giochi di apparato e calcoli politici. Si tratta quindi di un governo che non ha futuro“.
