CommentiDal re di Svezia Carlo XVI Gustavo al presidente dell’Argentina Javier Milei: sono oltre 160 le delegazioni ufficiali che hanno partecipato ai funerali di Papa Francesco in Piazza San Pietro. La rappresentanza italiana è guidata dal presidente della Repubblica Sergio Mattarella insieme alla figlia Laura e la presidente del Consiglio Giorgia Meloni: con loro tra gli altri i presidenti delle Camere Ignazio La Russa e Lorenzo Fontana e i due vicepremier Antonio Tajani e Matteo Salvini.
L’ordine della postazioni sul sagrato prevede i sovrani regnanti nell’ordine alfabetico del Paese (ma in francese) dal Belgio alla Giordania fino a Emirati arabi, Lesotho, Andorra, Liechtenstein, mentre fra i principi ereditari ci sono William per il Regno Unito e la principessa Mette-Marit di Norvegia. Tra i leader europei la presidente della commissione europea Ursula Von der Leyen e il presidente della Francia Emmanuel Macron. Come annunciato ha partecipato ai funerali anche il presidente degli Stati Uniti Donald Trump con la consorte Melania.
